A minimum space layout depicting a fictitious loco depot somewhere in the north of England in a 1938/48 time warp.  Constructed to provide an opportunity to run a collection of ready-to-run, mainly, LNER locos. The loco shed and coaling stage are scratch built and the factory is a modified Metcalfe kit. Locos arrive to be turned and take on coal and water. Coal wagons are delivered to the coaling stage and to a small P/way engineers' siding. Other freight stock and even the odd passenger set are stabled in the "long" siding.
