The
layout shows a small inner city depot with a regular influx of loco
exchanges and occasional DMU refueling and overnight stabling. The
genesis of the layout was originally a larger project that has never got
built but hopefully this layout can show a workable scenario for a
layout can be built in a small space ideal for the space starved
modeller.Trackwork is PECO
code 100 streamline with detailing either from Wills, Knightwing,
Coopercraft or scratch built in the case of the shed.Points are worked through wire in tube and control is via a
Gaugemaster transformer and KPC handheld feedback controller ideal for
today’s mix of motors.Locos
are by Hornby, Bachmann, Heljan, DC kits and I am dwindling down the
Lima items as better models become available. The layout is also capable of being run by DCC which I use the
Bachmann E-Z command system as at most I only use ten locos.
