This is a by-annual event organised in association with
Retford's Charter Day celebrations. The most recent event was staged over
the May Day Bank Holiday weekend in 2007. The five layouts on
display were 'Thomas The Tank Engine',
'A Touch of Frost',
'The Last One Shed', 'Dead
Straight' and Taylor's Trains

These
events are the only times these once busy premises are open to the
general public.Despite their years of disuse, many of the original interior fittings
have survived and the rooms offer a glimpse back to the days when the railways
were the only way to travel.
