Membership of the society is open to anyone with an interest in Railways. Looking forwards to the future of our club we encourage responsible younger members who wish to participate, and who show an interest in operating and/or working on one of the clubs layouts. Members have a vast array of interests and skills including general railways history, detailed model making, traditional and modern electrical skills, and are often more than willing to give advice on a current or up and coming project. Our membership year runs from May to April and new members joining at or after our Model Railway Exhibition in November are entitled to up to 18 months membership, renewal not becoming due until the April of the following membership year.

Embarrassing Photo Time
This picture was taken in August 1975, not long after the formation of the society. It shows members on platform 2 of Retford railway station waiting to board a special train to Shildon for the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the Stockton to Darlington Railway. 30 years later, many are still actively involved with the club, some members appear in both pictures!!
21 years after the first image, this was taken in May 1995 when the society celebrated its 21st Anniversary. From the Left, Geoff Bartrop, Robin Breddy, Peter Bartrop, Richard Deas, Derek Taylor, Bill Holland, Brian Holden, John Kitchen, Ray Pearson and Tom Lamb.
