Embarrassing Photo Time
This picture was
taken in August 1975, not long after the formation of the society. It shows members on platform 2 of Retford railway station waiting to board
the special train to Shildon for the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary
of the Stockton to Darlington Railway. 30 years later, many are still
actively involved with the club, some members appear in both pictures!!
21 years after the
first image, this was taken in May 1995
when the society celebrated its 21st Anniversary
From the Left, Geoff Bartrop, Robin Breddy, Peter Bartrop, Richard Deas, Derek
Taylor,
Bill Holland, Brian Holden, John Kitchen, Ray Pearson and Tom Lamb
This
image shows club member Stephen Searson, it was taken in the early 70's.
At that time, Stephen was a member of the Sir Frederick Milner School model
railway club. The picture was taken at a school Open Day and Stephen would
like to trace anyone with pictures of the layout at the Open Day or any former
members of the club. The club was run by teacher Chris Mabbott and at that
time operated a Hornby Dublo Three Rail model railway, later, they converted to
'N' gauge.
