Med'e'ntal

N Gauge by Derek Gelsthorpe

After the departure of my Sutton Junction layout, I built Maun Valley, a tail chaser.  Sutton Junction was an end to end layout and I had great pleasure in operating it.  So another end to end just had to built.
I decided to do this one in German, thus
Med'e'ntal, or in English, Medenvale was constructed. The location is totally fictitious and buildings are old Polar kits, bought second hand, luckily all the parts were present.  There are just two track feeds and three sets of points, one hidden siding, two isolators and two magnets.  The one siding that's hidden keeps stuff on view.
I am using a Pentroller controller as I did on Sutton Junction which gives good smooth control.  The river is simply paint and varnish but highlighted with the reflection of a strip of blue plastic covering the fluorescent tube.
A small amount of stock is required to create an interesting small shunting sequence.
